Lowell Battalion Staff

Battalion Commander:
C/COL Crystal Chung The Battalion Commander controls the staff through the Battalion Executive Officer and the companies through the Company Commanders, while maintaining the final approval authority in the cadet chain of command.
Battalion Executive Officer:
C/MAJ Bruno Montes-Avila The Battalion Executive Officer supervises, directs, and coordinates the cadet battalion staff to prevent overlapping efforts and to ensure the battalion commander's desires are understood and achieved.
Battalion Adjutant (S-1):
C/CPT Ireland Mak The Battalion Adjutant is the Administrative Assistant to the Battalion Commander. The Adjutant is responsible for performing administrative duties as assigned by the Battalion Commander, Battalion Executive Officer, or Staff.
Battalion Intelligence/Security Officer (S-2):
C/CPT Ethan Espina The Battalion S-2 is in charge of keeping the JROTC area clean and organized. The S-2 manages regular inspections through Battalion Mini and Major Cleanups and supervises the Staff in regular Staff area cleanups.
Battalion Operations/Training Officer (S-3):
C/CPT Paula Quon The Battalion S-3 is in charge of the preparation, conduct, and supervision of the training activities of the Battalion by creating weekly training schedules for the Special Unit Teams, managing Battalion Inspections and Review and coordinating training of the Companies, and planning the weekly lessons of the Company Commanders.
Battalion Logistics/Supply Officer (S-4):
C/CPT Michelle Chen The Battalion S-4 is responsible for maintenance, security, record keeping, and distribution of all government issued uniforms and other accessories.
Battalion Public Relations Officer (S-5): C/CPT Tristan Kwik The Battalion S-5 plans and coordinates the special projects within the Battalion used to boost motivation and encourage cadet interactions and engagement with the leaders through events such as the Back to School Barbecue, cadet Birthdays, and other days celebrating holidays.
Battalion Communications/Technology Officer (S-6):
C/CPT Averal Kandala The Battalion S-6 manages the security of all technology in the JROTC Study area and oversees the creation of the JROTC website. The S-6 also handles all equipment management for the different special events in the Battalion. Battalion Finance Officer (FO):
C/CPT Alexander Zhu The Battalion Finance Officer handles the finances for the Battalion and manages the allocation of those resources.
Battalion Command Sergent Major (CSM):
C/CSM David Dela Cruz The Battalion Command Sergeant Major is the principal enlisted assistant to the Battalion Commander. The CSM is in charge of checking in with the Company First Sergeants weekly, supervising the Color Guard and all flag details, and assisting the NCOs, BNXO, and adjutant with administrative duties.
Battalion Operations Sergeant Major (OPSGM):
C/2LT Andrew Kan The Battalion Operations Sergeant Major manages the different events that JROTC is involved in outside of school, such as the Guardsmen 5k Run, Chinese New Year Parade, and Veterans' Day Parade.
