History The JROTC program was created by U.S. Congress in 1916. The Mustang Battalion was established in 1940 when the school was founded. The Mustang Battalion is part of San Francisco JROTC Brigade. The program actively participates in local community events and school events such as parades, marathons, school graduations, and school rallies. This battalion of students and Army Instructors provides an amazing leadership experience, putting JROTC cadets in roles where they have to take the initiative and to become role models for our upcoming generations.
